1: Three Chinese cities including Changsha, Harbin and Guilin have implemented a 72-hour transit visa-free policy. Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jieyang, Shenyang, Dalian, Qingdao, Chongqing, 20 cities including Chengdu, Xi'an, Xiamen, Wuhan and Kunming have implemented a 144-hour transit visa-free policy.

2: Citizens of transit visa-free countries can transit through the above cities to a third country (region) with a valid international travel document/passport (valid for no less than 3 months) and a connecting ticket with a confirmed date and seat within a limited time. They can travel to a third country (region) without a visa. The stay in the stipulated area shall not exceed 72 hours or 144 hours. During the stay, you can engage in short-term activities such as tourism and temporary business visits.

2: You need to fill in an immigration card, including personal information, travel purpose and other information. Please note that when filling out the immigration card, make sure the information is accurate, otherwise it may affect your immigration process.

Normal visa application process for China (not visa-free)

In order to further facilitate the exchange of personnel between China and foreign countries, it has been decided to make the following adjustments to the visa and entry policies for foreigners in China starting from 0:00 on March 15, 2023, Beijing time:

1: Restore the entry function of visas issued before March 28, 2020 and still valid.

2: Visa authorities stationed abroad have resumed processing and issuing various types of visas to foreigners for China. For specific requirements, please see the attached instructions for applying for visas to China.

3: Port visa authorities will resume processing and issuing various types of port visas that meet legal reasons.

4: Restore the visa-free entry policy for Hainan, visa-free cruises for Shanghai, visa-free entry for foreigners from Hong Kong and Macao into Guangdong in groups, and visa-free entry for ASEAN tourist groups into Guilin, Guangxi.
